The Quad Cities Polo Club was established
with the USPA in 2008. The club was founded in 2005 with
the building of the first USPA regulation size polo field
in the Quad Cities by Alfred Boeh and the Boeh Family
located in Bettendorf Iowa on the Boeh Family Centery
Farm. The field was built and established with the help of
neighbors Rod Blunk and Klint Brothers Farms.
In 2006 we had our first match on the
new field a
perfect day
on August 12th .Teams that came to play and support
the new club were Weaver Farms of
Peoria, Illinois, Madison Polo Club of
Madison, Wisconsin
and Jack Chopp and his grandson Josh from
St.Louis, Missouri. Attendance was nearly 1200
people of all ages from around the Quad Cities area. As
parking over flowed in to the road, cars lined the farm
1/2 mile in either direction. We were visited by 4 news
stations and three news papers. The other clubs reported
they had never been to an opening in the midwest that had
this type of turn out. It was very exciting.
As the Club grows, we are growing in
numbers and building stronger programs each month. We
encourage you help build the Club for the Quad Cities by
joining as a member of the Quad Cities
Polo Club either as a rider member or an associate member.
Sponsorships are also available.
For those interested in playing,
on-sight stabling is available; leasing is an option.
